When I look around my home I realize there are so many different types of light fixtures to be found. All the lamps I use add to the look of my home and give it a cozier, homey feel. Their also there for lighting and remove the shadows that are created either by natural lighting or other lamps and light fixtures.
I have floor lamps in many corners to take up space and light that section of the room. Most are in contemporary styles with a bit of a retro look to them. There are a few that are not even plugged in and have no bulbs in them either. These are strictly for decoration and to fill up empty spaces that would otherwise look incomplete. I also have unique wall candle sconces in my hallways and entryways that are up high and have decorative curves and designs to them. They match other accessories in my home such as the current rods and door handles. Then there are the table lamps that I have placed onto of entertainment centers and book shelves so that when the overhead light is too much I can just switch to one of those.
All of these lights add to my home and also function in ways that I need them too. There are many styles; however they all have a similar theme making them work together and also being something interesting to look at.
