I’ve come to realize I can never have too many lighting fixtures in my home. I love looking for and buying lamps and lighting fixtures. Small lamps for desks and dressers, larger ones for corners of rooms, unique ones just add style to an area. I can never have too many and I’m always looking for more. I have a few that are only decorations, they are not plugged in nor are there any bulbs in them.
Few of my favorites are Tiffany style lamps. These are so beautiful and come in so many unique designs and styles. The colors are so bright and there are so many designs that can be found that will match any room. I like that they can take on so many different looks because of the pictures that are added to the glass and the different designs the bases come in.
The other style that I like includes the vintage floor lamps. I have many of these from all different eras and styles. The older the better going back to the 1920’s and 1930’s is what I look for. However, I’ve added a few to my daughters’ room that look like multicolored peg boards and came from around the 1960’s.
I have no idea what started my interest in lighting fixtures and lamps. However, I don’t think it’s a collection I will ever stop hunting for.
