The size, design and material used will be dependent upon on the design of the house, your taste and most especially your budget. Every family will have a visitor even for once a year like the holidays, unless you do not want somebody to go to your house. It is a great privilege to let somebody get inside your house and see how you live while entertaining them. Some sort of bonding with friends, relatives and other family members can be done right inside your house. But before they could get in, they have to knock on the door to give you a notice that they just have arrived. Of course, you are happy to see them and that is why a big welcome hug is more appropriate.
